Mini-symposia

Timber connections by the under-40's

The intent of this symposia is to encourage and support the next generation of young researchers looking at timber connections problems. I expect that the proposed format of WCTE 2016 will facilitate the presentation of "established" researchers as mini-symposia organisers will be contacting researchers that are well known in their area. I would like to go a bit further and invite "less-known" researchers to submit an abstract. This mini-symposia will not be used to accept lower quality presentations. I will require a high-quality level.

I think that this proposal would attract a good crowd as the older ones would be curious to see what the younger ones are up to.
